F&B chain — 34 stores, 6-slot cabinets, local wallets first
Drink-shop dwell was already known. The open questions were refill habits and whether MoMo sat on the same PO as the cabinets.
The chain needed a cabinet staff could refill without a tower, and a checkout path Vietnamese customers already use.
- 34 stores live
- 6-slot cabinets (stackable path if a site grows)
- MoMo / ZaloPay docking with the hardware PO — not a phase-two app rewrite
- Custom cable SKUs where the store mix required them
What we locked at kickoff
- One city cluster first (not a national map of 10 units each).
- Wallet docking named on the kickoff sheet next to slot count and color.
- Spare contacts and PSUs into HCMC with the first shipment — not “48 hours from Shenzhen” as the SLA.
Field lesson we still quote on calls
Card-only white-label apps still fail conversion on many Vietnamese counters. If the buyer says “we will add MoMo later,” we write that risk into the quote notes.
Country context: Vietnam market note. Hardware: 6-slot stackable. Payments: OEM docking matrix.
